Adult Foster Care is a licensed living arrangement that provides food, lodging, and supervision services to a person with disabilities, mental illness, and brain injury. These services can be short term or long term.

Waivered/Adult Foster Care facilities for people with developmental disabilities are individual waiver services provided to persons living in a home licensed as foster care. Foster care services are individualized and based on the individual needs of the person. Service rates are negotiated on an individual basis. The homes are all 4 beds or less.
Adult Foster Care for mental illness is a housing option for individuals who need some supervision and can no longer remain in their own homes. These homes have been set up to serve individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses. Service rates are negotiated on an individual basis. These homes are all 4 beds or less. There may be an option in some facilities for a 5th bed.
TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES
Adult Foster Care TBI Waiver facilities are for individuals that have had traumatic brain injuries. Service rates are negotiated on an individual basis. These homes all offer 4 beds or less. There may be an option in some homes for a 5th bed.
ICF/MR indicates that this is an Intermediate Care Center, and a Medicaid certified program, housing individuals in a residential setting with shift staff. These homes typically accommodate 5 to 6 beds. They do not require an individual to have a MR/RC Waiver.
